My heart breaks to see the game I grew up with and have so many fond memories of in such a sad state. Just a fresh can of paint to gloss over the glaring issues that continue to break the game, which is deplorable and unacceptable behavior. They have the funds to do something about these issues but nothing changes. Furthermore the fact that Jagex is a wildly successful and respected game developer makes it even worse. It's so sad to see the game I've been playing since I was 7 being turned into a shining example of what not to do. I've been taking my annual break from RuneScape and to see stuff like this going on makes me want to do nothing but prolong the hiatus indefinitely. Whether you think the bans were justified or not, the loss of Rendi and his boundary breaking sucks. I would guess both Rendi and Mauler expected their HCIM to be banned, but not chainbanning every account they touched.

Sucks because Rendi said multiple times that this new series was renewing his interest in OSRS content creation, but this incident has all but killed his interest. The whole allure of HCIM series is they could die at any moment and end, but the series as interesting as this ending so quickly and without an ingame death is mega disappointing. I hope this doesn't end their series, but I don't blame Rendi and Mauler for abandoning these accounts, or the game as a whole, because they're dumping all this effort into an account that can get banned at any moment.Įdit: Rendi confirmed his HCIM got banned 1 day after the video was posted, but has at least another episode's worth of prerecorded content to be released. I've reported bots and goldfarmers to the tipoff email to a point where it became a personal meme, I've given direct undeniable evidence of social engineering, I've reported hundreds of scammers at the arena, I've reported and documented targeted harassment by a group of players, I've reported with proof people who solicit personal information, most of that effort going to waste. These doublestandards apply for literally every aspect of the rules. To this day Aika Online has never reopened its BR servers. You just paid gold to exploiters for the items. They kept losing a massive amount of money because by this point the entire game economy was fucked and there was no need to buy CS items anymore from the store. There was a fatal flaw in that servers build that prevented them from fully patching the exploit and once it was public, people found work arounds for each update. 5 months later the Aika Online servers that had the exploit shut down and the entire dev team was laid off. Showed them where I had reported 100s of bugs and where devs and admins were in constant communication with me and thanking me, even rewarding me with in game items in the past. Showed proof that all of the CS items were still on my account and unused. I guess they banned every account on my IP. I made sure to do it on a separate account that wasn’t linked to my main “play” account.

The game was taken over by new leadership and I guess they didn’t appreciate my free work for them. Relatively easy to duplicate, but so completely dumb that no one would ever think to try it.Īnyway, I reported this and they banned all of my accounts. Once I found a cash shop bug that would give free CS items. I found a reported a ton of bugs for them, absolutely free. I knew the game inside and out and how every mechanic and stat worked. I was a major whale and spent $1000s on that game over the years I played.
